Na Lei Aloha Foundation continues “Preserving the Ohana” with such events as the Lantern Floating (Toro Nagashi) Ceremony, which is scheduled for Memorial Day, May 28th, 2007 at Ala Moana Beach Park on the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

“Every year on Memorial Day, thousands of people gather together at Magic Island to honor ancestors and loved ones who have passed away. They watch with warm remembrance, hope for peace, and wish for a better future for the next generation as more than 1,100 candle-lit lanterns float away from shore.” Read more here.
